PokerStars celebrated another huge milestone on Sunday by hosting Tournament Number One Billion, a $109 buy-in event which carried a massive $2 million guaranteed prize pool. The event was a huge hit as a total of 34,081 players generated a prize pool of $3,408,100. And, in addition to the guarantee, for the first 2.5 hours of the tournament more than $200,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to randomly selected tables.
After nearly 15 hours of play it was Uraguay's "kofi89" who emerged victorious with the outright win for $329,586. Germany's "kaveh001" finished runner-up for a still-superb payday of $241,566, while former Sunday 500 winner Joas "No Limit NL" Mudde placed fourth for $129,780.
